Week 1: Flora of the Bluffs & Cliffs
Focusing on color mixing and organic shapes to paint coastal wildflowers, succulents, and sea-grass. We’ll practice "negative space" around delicate petals and "layering" to create the lush greens of the coastline.
Week 2: The Language of Stone & Sand
Using specialized techniques like salt application, dry-brushing, and splatter to recreate the weathered textures of coastal rocks and the grainy, shifting sands of the shore.
Week 3: Treasures of the Tide
An introduction to precision and light. We will focus on the translucent qualities of sea glass, the intricate spirals of shells, or the simple silhouette of a shorebird to bring a focal point to your coastal scenes.
